Professionalism - what is it? (Week 8)


As time progresses, the world is becoming much more tech dependent than ever before, and thus we should dedicate on educating more professionals and more importantly a tech-savvy and educated public, and invest more on our needs in the field of cyber security. Although IT professionals from all around the world have the same intentions and share the same common knowledge, the field of their expertise is generally divided based upon their age, education, purpose, and even their geographical needs(country they live/work in).




In this week's blog we are going to talk about IT in general, as well as IT professionals in Azerbaijan and their qualities, education, set of skills, and attitudes. maintaining the security of technology systems is a difficult task. If Azerbaijan's official and private technology infrastructure, which is among the targets of domestic and foreign terrorist elements, is not made safer, the threat of cyberterrorism will increase day by days. The concept of cyber security and related concepts have fairly recently developed and continue to evolve at an unexpected pace. In parallel with the developments in cybersecurity and information technology, the concepts in this field are being extracted and multiplied very dynamically and rapidly. In order to meet the market demand for highly educated professionals, new university faculties, colleges, and departments have been opened in Azerbaijan. Although it is a small country and the needs are manageable to some extent, there is still a growing need for experts in this field in order to perfect the security concept further.
